My name is Jeffrey Zoeller.  I am an attorney in East Lansing, Michigan. My practice is mostly family law, criminal defense, and a very specialized area of tax law (Unconstitutional Disguised Taxes).

The name Zoeller is German-French.  The name means 'frontier guard' or 'toll collector' and it is from the region of Alsace in present-day France. The region of Alsace has changed hands many times between what is now France and Germany. When the borders shifted, the Zoellers would guard the borders and collect the tolls that were due to whatever government happened to be in charge at that time. The Zoellers have also been winemakers in Alsace for over five hundred years.

The name Jeffrey means the stranger who brings peace. The peacemaker from another country.
